Five Simple Steps to Getting Found Online

January 2, 2017/0 Comments/in Social Media, Uncategorized, Web Design/Development/by SocialImpact

Consumers have quite a few options to find goods and services. Most options include going online to search for products and services, and then research from whom they will buy from.

If you can’t be found, you can be part of the buying decision.

Here are Five Free Easy Ways to Help:

  1. Claim your “Google My Business”
  2. Claim your “Bing Places for Business”
  3. Add your “LinkedIn Business Profile”
  4. Claim you Facebook Business Page
  5. Get Five Star Reviews

Google My Business

When people search for you, does your phone number show up? Is the right address and website listed? Manage your free business listing on Google Search and Google Maps — for free. Really.

Whether you’re closing for the holidays or adding a new location, you can edit all of your info instantly by adding pictures, responding to reviews, and sharing what’s best about your business with a listing on Google.

Bing Places for Business

Chances are Bing has a listing for your business already. Claim an existing listing or add a new one. If your business has multiple locations you can add them in one go using the bulk upload tool.

Adding complete information about your business helps you tell the best story about your business. You can add photos of your business & services, hours of operation, services offered and list the various ways customers can reach your business.

Protect your listing from unauthorized changes by verifying it. You can verify your listings by receiving a PIN at your business address, phone or email. All businesses must provide a valid address, but some types of businesses can hide their address in search results.

LinkedIn Business Profile

Build a presence for your business on LinkedIn. Create your page, attract followers, and post company updates to drive engagement.

Create a company description and overview. Try to be concise, but include what your company does, its specialties, and what makes your business unique.

Facebook Business Page

You can set up a free Facebook business Page in a matter of minuets, from a mobile device or a computer.

You’ll need a name for your Page and a blurb about your business. You’ll want a profile photo and cover photo.

At the top of your Page you can add a call-to-action that directs your Page visitors to do something, like visit your website or call your store.

Five Star Reviews

When you are looking for a business to buy from, don’t you notice the reviews and lean towards those with a higher ratings. Look at a story Social Impact posted last year to make it easy to get 5 Star ratings from Google.
